Good day all,
I just installed the current MSI Version of MySql for Windows. I have a website (Forum Type) that i just took over as the Owner has left the site to die and as the Current Site Admin / Founder, i have taken on the challenge to learn how to create a new set of style sheets and such using phpBB 3.0.7-pl. In order to use the phpBB that i downloaded, it said i needed MySql or other like SQL Database... Am i in over my head on this, cause right now i am so lost, lol. All i want to do is create new phpBB Stylesheets for the site, new forum design, and layouts using the modules and stuff already present, to include some styles downloaded.
I installed the MySql locally and am trying to run the phpBB thru MySql i guess...can i do that? What else am i missing.
Like i stated it is installed...now how do i connect to MySql locally...and how does phpBB relate to MySql with this situation.
Any Help in this matter would be great, i am trying to do this on my own cause money to pay for a pro to do this is way out of my range considering this to be a quick drawn project...i feel right now it will not be in my future to ever program or code since i can't seem to grasp the MySql stuff or even open it in my Command Prompt, lol.
