I guess I need to uninstall Mysql on my SnowLeopard Intel Mac because during install I didn't also get a folder named "mysql" added to the folder along with mysql-5.1.47-osx10.6-x86, so when I try running MYSQLCOM start-up, it can't find mysql. Using Terminal, I tried adding a symbolic link to a "mysql" folder in the /etc/local/ folder, but didn't have permission to do that.
This was all working a month ago but for some reason it doesn't now. I've been out of town so nothing has changed ... it just stopped working. Gremlins. I've set up several databases and several tables (no data, just tables) that I'd sure hate to lose and have to recreate. Is there a way I can preserve those when I reinstall??
Thanks,
Tedra
