I am trying to get the java connector working on my mac pro. I have java 1.6 and have downloaded the connector 5.1.13 and extracted the jar file to the extensions folder. In java I dont see the com.mysql.jdbc.driver, there are other mysql.jdbc things but not that one. I am new to Java and Mac. Any help would be great, i am totally stuck.
