Hi,

I really hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I just downloaded the mysql-5.1.51-osx10.6-x86.tar. I double click the file in my finder and it shows me a bunch of files and folders such as bin, data, docs....
I find a new icon to chose from when I click it only showing last login and my name.
What now? I read something like "untar" it. What dos that mean?

The reason I downloaded it is that I can start to use mysql. I had no idea that I am not even able to install the thing.

Please help.
