I was running Windows XP SP3 with MySQL from October 11, to October 15, 2010 with no problem. I had to reboot the computer and MySQL stopped being able to start up.
I uninstalled and re-installed and nothing worked. I then removed all the directories and cleaned the reg to make sure it was all off.
I went to download 6.0.11 to see if a new version would install properly. It installed, it prepared the configuration, it wrote the configuration file, and went to start the service. A big red X showed up, and the error message:
Could not start the service MySQL. Error: 0
I would like some guidance if anyone can help, on how to get this started.
Thanks,
Paul
