Hello/Help,
I was attempting to connect to a MySQL database using the MySQL Workbench OSS (which was installed for some reason) and ran a "Synchronise Model" (figuring this MYSQL front end must work like source control) - which kinda failed and then removed the database I had created for my MediaWiki install.
I know what you're thinking - what a twit - and you would be correct. It was only later that I worked out that the guy before me had installed OSS instead of the regular workbench and that he hadn't scheduled any backups (*gulp*).
I can see in ibdata1 that all my data is still actually there in that file - I just can't really get it out.
I have effectively reinstalled the Wiki which has given me back my table structure (.FRM Files), so no problem there.
Now the Big Question is, can I get the data fom ibdata1 back into the table structure?
Or failing that, is there a way that I can view the data in ibdata1?
Either would be great - it's for my company's internal Wiki and I feel like a complete and utter idiot.
Thanks Heaps,
John Hilberts
P.S. I haven't used MySQL in years & have never used a front-end for it - have always stuck with the command line until today!
