I sent a similar message yesterday to tech support but have not received a reply but I am quite anxious to resolve my problem so I am writing to this forum. Thinking that MYSQL 5.1.12 was just another database program (got it from MacUpdate), I installed it on my iMac G4/800 running Tiger 10.4.11 (the main program, the startup item software + the preference pane which only offers the error "Could not load mysql"). I have absolutely no use for MYSQL but can't ;ocate it on my computer, can't figure out how to COMPLETELY uninstall it, very frustrating. I am a fairly new Mac user, not much of a techie, so can someone, in very simple, point form terms, tell me how to COMPLETELY uninstall MYSQL 5.1.12. Thanks so much. Ken.
