My install hang at the Start Service step of Processing Configuration in Windows 7. I was able to install it first and mysqld shows up in Task Manager but I was not able to use it (unable to start or connect in Netbeans and when I use Command Line Client it flashed an error and crahsed). Next I uninstalled and reinstalled including removing old instance and MySQL Datafiles folder but when it got to Processing Configuration it stopped at Start Service with a red checkmark (Could not start MySQL service) Then I uninstalled and also deleted the MySQL folder in Program Files and when I reinstall it now hangs at Start Service of Processing Configuration. Why is it so hard to install MySQL in Windows? I don't know what to do to make it work. Please help if you do. Thanks.
