Need to put MySQL in shared drive (1 reply)

Hi,

As I am novice in installation part of DB, so would like to know the following :

1. Can I install MySQL in a shared drive ?
2. If yes, how ?
3. Where the MySQL service will be running ?

I do not want to have a separate box for MySQL and would like all the users accessing the DB from shared drive SIMILAR to MS-Access.

Would appreciate for any suggestions or leads onthe same.
