I've installed version 5.5 on a Win 7 Pro box. I'm getting a 1067 error: The process terminated unexpectedly.
Trying suggestions from many earlier posts hasn't worked. After installing I ran the server configuration utility - the only non-standard thing I did was specify a new folder as the location for innoDB files. Following this I created a new my.ini file (copied from the mysmall.ini) and changed the datadir to reflect this innoDB repository change. I also uncommented the innoDB specs in the ini file.
Nothing fixes the problem. Very frustrating. I've used previous versions of mysql and never come accross this before.
