Configuration Wizard: Could not start the service MySQL. (no replies)

Hello,

just tried to install MySQL 5.5.19 Community Server under Windows Vista.
After pressing [Execute] in the last window of the Configuration Wizard, it goes like:
"Processing configuration ...
- Prepare configuration
- Write configuration file
x Start service

Could not start the service MySQL."


I press [<Back] and again [next>], then it reads:
"Cannot create Windows service for MySQL. Error: 0"

What to do next, respectively where can I find information on error 0?
Looking at the services listed in the Windows Task-Manager, I see that the service MySQL has been entered, but its status is terminated (German: "Beendet").

Any hint is appreciated.
