clean up MySQL 3 (no replies)

I have done installing MySQL Server 5.1, but it doesn't run.
then I found out the PC already have have MySQL Server 3.
how can I clean up MySQL Server 3 ?
I didn't see anything in the Control Panels.
but I can't start MySQL Server 5.1 either.
