Problem with MySQL and firewall (3 replies)

Hello everyone.

I am having problems with reinstalling MySQL 5.5. I had removed MySQL 5.5 earlier, but I wanted to experiment with it again. So I reinstalled it. But during the configuration step, the installer said that it was unable to add a firewall rule, so I manually added a rule for it to Windows Firewall. But I still can ’t connect to my MySQL server. I am using MySQL 5.5 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. I did a full installation and I selected the "Server" option when the installer asked me how much system resources I wanted to allocate to MySQL.

Does anyone have some ideas about how I can fix this?
