Can multiple MySQL installations co-exist on SAME computer? (1 reply)

Assume I have already a MySQL v5.5.8 installation (with services) on my Win7 system.

Can I install additionally (rather than replacing) install a second MySQL engine v5.5.16 (in a different instll directory)?

Or do they interfere each other?
Ok I must assign a different port. But what about the other possible conflicts?

Can two services with the same name exist?
