We have a MySQL database that we have been using very successfully for ovre a year now. Over this past weekend we upgraded the server operating system this database resides on to Windows 2008 Server Standard Edition. The database was not touched and is still there.
Unfortunately MySQL was wiped out so we reloaded the MySQL software on the server - 5.1 Version as well as 5.0 ODBC Connector and the GUI.
For the life of us how do we re-create the server ODBC to point to this database that still resides in the same place as it did prior to the upgrade of the server?
We have not touched the client workstations. They still have the ODBC pointing to the database but obviously can not access the database since we do not have the ODBC installed at the server.
Any suggestions or pointing us in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
