my.cnf File not present (no replies)

Hello All,

I Installed Mysql server using .tar.gz file on my Fedora Linux

I installed it in the location

/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/

But I do not see any my.cnf file anywhere. I'm able to start the server and it works properly.

I need the my.cnf details to configure workbench to manage the server.

This is what i get when i give locate my.cnf. all of them look like test and example files, non e the actual configuration file. Please help

/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/mysql-test/include/default_my.cnf
/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/mysql-test/suite/federated/my.cnf
/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/mysql-test/suite/ndb/my.cnf
/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/mysql-test/suite/rpl/my.cnf
/Programfiles/mysql-5.1.51/mysql-5.1.51-linux-i686-glibc23/mysql-test/suite/rpl_ndb/my.cnf


I see a file mysqlaccess.conf in my bin directory. but it is not being accepted by my workebnch
