I have an Appache2.2 sever, using PHP5.2.9.9 & MySQL5.1.32. I run a PHPBB3 bulletin board database, as well as a couple of MySQL databases attached to on-line simulation games. I now have further PHP website scripts that now require MYSQLi installed.
Can someone advise how best to do this? I've checked my current php.ini file and there is no [PHP_MYSQLI] section inside.
1. Should I just DL PHP5.3.3 msi & install over the top of my present PHP & MySQL installs?
2. Would this affect the PHPBB3 database or other mysql DB's i'm running I'm running?
