Hi, i have installed mysql but when i try to configure it, i can't change password and the empty password is not accepted.
The wizard says it could depend from the firewall but is disabled so i think that mysql read a password from an old installation.
I tried to unistall and erase the mysql folder but the problem is the same, so i tried to restore the password using the guide on this forum that suggest to use mysqld-nt.exe --init-file=C:\\mysql-init.txt but 1)on my installation i have only mysqld.exe and 2) using mysqld.exe the shell starts the work but doesn't complete to start mysql.
I don't know what to do.
I'm going to make the pc fly over the window :D
help pls!
