Upgrade from 5.1.30 to 5.1.53 (no replies)

I want to upgrade MySQL from 5.1.30 to 5.1.53 without losing any configuration or data.

The original install was part of the xamapp package.

I can not find any specific instructions and the installer does not prompt for an upgrade option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
