MySQL issues! (no replies)

Hello,

I installed MySQL server and forgot to allow remote connection, so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but it gives me
error 1045 ''can't access user root@localhost (using password: NO)

and even after re-installing the os it still doesnt work.. what to do?
